Spend Sunday mornings with us!

We have a traditional adult choir, conducted by a talented and accomplished organist, and a praise music group that plays for the Lenten Program and youth service.

Worship
8 a.m. Rite I
Traditional Worship with Traditional Language
Our 8 a.m. service is a quiet, reflective worship centered on Eucharist. The Rite I liturgies reflect the language and piety of the Elizabethan era and the first BCP, although the structure of these liturgies also reflects the influence of modern liturgical scholarship. Rite I is very similar to the 1928 Book of Common Prayer, keeping the older English language (thee, thou, etc.) with some updates to the Creed and prayers. The Confession and Prayers of Consecration remain the same. Learn more about our Rites >
11 a.m. Rite II
Traditional Worship with Contemporary Language
Our 11 a.m. service features a traditional adult choir with organ. For certain special services, we also have other instruments and/or a praise music group. Like the 8 a.m. service, it is centered on Eucharist.
The Rite II liturgies reflect more fully the influence of the liturgical movement and contemporary theology. The proper liturgies for special days (such as Ash Wednesday and Palm Sunday), pastoral offices (such as the Celebration and Blessing of a Marriage), and Episcopal services (such as ordinations) are printed in contemporary language in the BCP. Ten different Men's Breakfast Teams cook and provide a hearty breakfast every Sunday at 9 a.m. Join a team for fun and fellowship and show off your culinary skills!

Faith Formation
What is Faith Formation? Don’t you mean Christian Education (Sunday School)?
In a way, yes, BUT…there is a slight distinction between the two. Both involve Christian teaching and learning in a systematic way. However, we’re not simply educating about Christianity—we are forming disciples of Jesus.
Author Richard J. Foster describes Spiritual Formation as “the redemptive process of forming the inner human person—us—so that we are enabled by God’s grace to progressively take on the overall character of the inner being of Christ Himself.”
On Sunday mornings, and at other study opportunities throughout the year, we want to be clear that we are not just teaching information and obtaining Christian knowledge for knowledge’s sake. Spiritual Formation is learning how to hear the voice of God and acting on it. It’s about developing Christ-like character and your relationship with God. And we are always in that process of being formed.

CHILD & YOUTH FAITH FORMATION

Youth Class
In addition to our EYC Sunday evening program that meets from 5:30pm-7pm, Middle and High School youth have their own separate meeting times on Sunday mornings. Led by a faithful team of amazing volunteers, each group determines a focus of study for the formation year.

3rd-5th Graders
Our 3rd-5th Grade group is following the Spark Lectionary curriculum, which follows the liturgical church year and explores the gospel reading. Games, crafts, and Bible Reading will form hearts and minds, and prepare this age group to participate more deeply in the worship service.

Kindergarten-2nd Graders
Children in K-2nd will be joining in children’s chapel, learning the basics of our liturgy and worship, building community, and most of all, experiencing that Faith Formation is FUN!
